The Amedico Diagnostics Microbiology Laboratory provides comprehensive clinical services for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. Various techniques such as microscopy, isolation on culture media, detection of antibodies, etc. they are used to identify the presence of potentially pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites. Antimicrobial susceptibility tests are performed on isolates to identify the most appropriate antibiotic for treating an infection.

The laboratory is equipped with automated systems to address blood cultures and cultures of mycobacteria, bacterial determination and susceptibility to antimicrobials, thus reducing response times for reporting.

Quality control and assurance are taken into consideration in the laboratory.
